Quick trip to Lumsdale

only having 30 minutes for my dinner break each day it’s difficult to fit much in besides eating and vaping. Today however I decided to throw caution to the wind and nip down to one of my favourite spots. Not much water (probably due to the recent heat wave) but a gorgeous place none the less.

Machine Head – Rescue Rooms 29/07/14

Whilst I entered this gig with possibly too much expectation for my usual self I can’t deny being at least a little disappointed. The music was good, the sound quality was good, the band however didn’t seem with it, Robb talked at great length in between tracks, barely played his guitar and seemed to be struggling with the words to some degree.

Crazy Summer Sunday

So yesterday I woke up really early having not slept well. I headed over to Tansley car boot for 8am, bought some stuff and headed home to find my landlord tarting up my back yard, a nice job done too. The next thing I know I’ve got a bunch of friends in my back yard drinking cider and getting on with our usual barmy behaviour. It has been a rather gorgeous weekend indeed.

Happy Solstice

So last night after much deliberation and fannying about we set sail for Stanton Moor, it was gone 1am when we finally set off but that still left us over 3 hours to complete the mission we’d set ourselves. Upon landing at Stanton I was firstly overwhelmed by the amount of people this place seems to gather these days, long gone are the proper drum circles of old, I think I heard 2 drummers and many, many ‘pretentious university student wannabe hippy’ accents mingled in with the ‘rich parent hippy’ accent that we’ve all heard from time to time.
